This was a track i had on my older account but it was titled "journey".
I changed the drums and melodies a bit.
It's a bit of progressive house and trance i guess.

Wow the more I listen to this the more I enjoy it! But at first when I listened to that intro. It was a turn off for me. But when I stuck at listening to this. I was convinced now when the start kick of the piano starts at about 1:00. Then the whole track became ambient and chilling which is what I would expected at first when I started listening to this. Nice change of style. But I would prefer without keeping this without that intro. It would've fit like on 4:00 instead. The drums are simple enough for me but still enjoyable none the less. And it fits here. But anyways you never cease to disappoint me with your music. KUDOS!!!!!

This really isn't a genre that I enjoy much, but, regardless, it's easy to tell this is quality. The sound quality is very smooth, and it has nice transitions. I also enjoyed how you switch up the bpm throughout... I felt the song flourished at about 1 minute, the first minute of the song were the hardest to listen to, maybe switch it up? That piano throughout really saved the score in my opinion. I especially liked the flutters of keys at about 1:50-1:52. That was fresh. The whole mid-section, where it sounds more... ambient , as well as the end(5:00-end) were my favorite parts of the song. Ambient is my favorite genre you see. All in all, a good, quality, emotional peace with mixed emotions that is a good listen. Literally my only complaint is the intro. Good job bro!

I agree, i personally have always loved ambient / chill out music the most and it kind of shows in this track.
To be honest, the only part I really love when the drums are playing is when the music goes to that two bass line pattern at around 4:15. It's not that i dislike the rest of the track with the different bassline, it's just that this section onwards sounds a lot more uplifting, which is what the track was supposed to be and the first parts of the track fall a little bit short.

Thanks for the review! :)

At 1:00, the main piano bit gets a bit overlapped by the other tracks. However, the piano shouldn't be too loud on your breakdown at 1:30, so what I would personally do is boost the piano volume a bit and turn down the velocity.

From 1:30 to 4:00 is basically two minutes and thirty seconds of bliss. I may be a bit biased here, but this is exactly what I like, songs that have mellow bits (or are even mellow throughout the whole song). I also like how you pulled that off without having anything get too boring or repetitive (a problem I admittedly have a lot).

It seems like your song is more instrumental than a dance beat. Excluding the intro, your drum patterns come off more as filler than the actual "filler" itself. This isn't a bad thing in my eyes, it just means that it's more of an instrumental-driven track than a dance one, which is always a good thing in my book.

I know you asked for a review on the EQ of your drums, but I can't listen to how your drums sound because I don't have headphones that I can listen with right now (sigh). However, I think the drums are kind of boring. It's just a basic kick-hat-clap-hat pattern. I would've loved to hear some variation in there, maybe having more percussion or something of that sort.

Overall, I give this 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Thanks a lot man.
I agree with what you say about it being more instrumental than a track you would hear in clubs or see people dancing to. To be honest it was mostly influenced by a lot of deadmau5' tracks because i really like how alot of his tracks are atmospheric but at the same time they play really well at festivals.

About the percussion, I guess it's just something that comes down to taste. I definitely see your point about the drum pattern being boring. I kind of agree with you here because sometimes i can sit down and listen to a really repetitive 9 min progressive house track and love every second of it, and other times it just bores me after about the first 2 or 3 minutes. It just depends on mood i guess.

I'm working on a lot of other tracks at the moment and one of them is another progressive house track and hopefully I can get that deadmau5 kind of style going on in it like i intended for this track, haha.

Anyway, thanks for the review man :)

Oh boi, that sounds really good, excellent job on that.
You could've put out the main motif at 1:00 a bit more, it somehow disappears behind the rest. I really like how you put dynamic into your track, like the calm part at around 2:21, it has something post-rock-esque. However, I am still missing some sort of recognizable main motif at that point.
Lovely piano ending.
