This is track one off my recently finished album, "System Failure." The album is entirely electronic, and borrows elements from many genres; including ambient, trance, house, DnB, and others. It is a compilation of tracks that I made within my first year of making music, so it has a certain novelty, to me at least. The album cover is the image I added to the song. I will be uploading each track little by little until they're all up. Here is the link to my Soundcloud so that you can hear all the tracks consecutively without all the navigation.

Here is the track listing, and I do hope you enjoy listening.

Reminds me a bit of The Naked and Famous, without vocals.
I am missing some sort of main melody/motif that could lead through the song. There are basic approaches of something like that, but it isn't finished.
I am also lacking a bit of gloss in the arrangement, little things that appear here and there, maybe only once in a track. But these are the things that can make your track shining, making it worth to listen it more then one or two times, because you always discover something new.
The part beginning at 2:45 is in my opinion to long and repetitive, there is nothing really happening there. This is a good example of what I've mentioned before. The Hihat/Cymbal there is also a bit too prominent in the mix.
I like the ending, except at one point it sounds like you've cut it together (5:09 AND 5:17).

3.5/5, well done :)

Never heard of that band, but their name is interesting, I will have to check them out. Some of the terms you use I'm unfamiliar with, or use other words for them, but overall, I get what you're saying; and yes, it could use much work. It could use additional elements, rearrangement, better panning, sound-level tweaks, and much more. Unfortunately, as the description reads, this song, along with the rest of the tracks from the album, are from the year 2010, when I first started making music. The project file is no longer accessible to me, as it was lost about... 3 PC's ago. This was more of a nostalgic compilation of tracks for me. Regardless, I very much appreciate your review and input, as it serves to guide me with future projects. Thanks for the review and for listening.
