Orchestration

This is yet another older piece of mine. I don't know why the name of the piece is orchestration, as it absolutely doesn't sound as an orchestra playing, but as I said, it's a pretty long while ago since I made this composition.
All parts are not that good, and several instruments are off sync. Still, I kinda like some of the sections of this song.
Either way, I don't know if you can, but...

Enjoy ;)

I quite like this one. It is beautiful and the instrumentation flows smoothly. Consider this piece 'enjoyed'!

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

I'm glad you DID enjoy it XD
Thanks for checking out some of my stuff and leaving comments :3

How did I miss this one? This is beautiful! I love the bright, upbeat piano and progression. Maybe it could've used some more dynamic contrast, but I love the sense of direction it has nonetheless. It's very flow-y and light. It would be great for a videogame if you looped it. I can hear the sense of adventure, yet it's also cutesy in a way. Animated knights headed off to save the damsel in distress. XD Anyway, keep it up LSD! Did you see my PM btw?

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

I've been missing a lot of stuff lately too, as I can mostly be active on weekends :p
I'm glad that so many people seem to like this piece, even if the quality is not the best :D
You're not the only one who thinks I should loop it. Maybe I'll remake it as a loop with better stuff one day?
I like your visualisation, as usually XD

I did read your PM! I didn't have time to respond this weekend though :(
I'll try to do my best, and respond this weekend, as I should have enough time :)

Ahh sooo majestic.

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

Thanks :p
I'm glad you were able to enjoy listening to my music :D

Wonderful piece.

Very serene and majestic.

I love how it builds up until 0:58 and then it kinda goes like "Okay, now I really have something to say!" and releases a beautiful, proud and solemn melody/chord progression.

Your piano pieces might not be perfect in all senses possible, but are most probably my favorite ones on Newgrounds.

They sound very honest and genuine and the core is always filled with very pure feelings.

Really beautiful.

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

Hey, thanks for checking by once again :'D

I'm glad you like my stuff!
I think that the part right after 0:58 is my favorite part :p
It's a bit of a shame though; it was so long ago I made this piece that I barely remember the process behind composing and recording it o.O

"Your piano pieces might not be perfect in all senses possible, but are most probably my favorite ones on Newgrounds."

=> Whoah! That's quite the compliment :3
Especially as it's coming from such a great musician as you ;)

I can agree that most of my pieces that I've actually recorded on my piano are honest, as they really reflect my feelings and so on :)

Thanks for listening, and for your review!

Barring the tempo issue, this song is great! As usual with your songs, it's got unique chords, great ambience, a somewhat inappropriate name, and beautiful melodies. I actually think you could've made this a loop. :D

It appears as though this was before you "play arpeggiated notes separately" phase. :) There are a couple of notes that are played slightly cracked-ly, but that's okay! My favorite part is from 0:42 to 1:13. Well, there's two parts in there, but I liked both of them.

Good work! Four months left in the army. THINK YOU CAN HANDLE IT?

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

Whoah; that was fast!
Thanks for the compliments XD I might've been able to make this into a loop, it could work :D
Nope, sorry; I have always played the "arpeggiated notes separately", just not always :)
It really depends on what kind of a song I'm making/playing :p
(My favorite parts are the same as yours! o.O)
Thanks for the extremely quick review!

Yup, 113 days left :3
I've had quite a rough week, and tomorrow will be even worse... I might be able to handle it though :)
(I hope D:)
