It's very climactic and catchy. The fade-in approach at the beginning is a little cliché, but I think that's a minor complaint. The sense of direction in this one is good, and you channel the energy throughout rather well. It's very dreamy at times, and energetic at others. The mixing is pretty good, and the melodic content is rather enjoyable. It was a bit minimalistic throughout, though, although you still nailed dynamic contrast and melodic development. Structurally, it's a sound piece, and I thought the way you ended it was much more creative than the way you began it. It kept my attention throughout, but I think you should really pay attention to the lack of fill I see here in the future. This was a relaxing and atmospheric piece - trance that puts you in a trance, just the way I like it! Solid work, Sundans. Keep it up! ;D

This is a NGAUC review.

From the beginning I had a feeling that this is what I was looking for in a trance piece -- gradual buildup, wet synths that get warmer, a feeling of being lost in the music. I was expecting the orchestral bits to be stereotypical, but you outdid my expectations -- your chords are beautiful, atmospheric and certainly the kind that not many would think of.

I don't know if there's a "melodic" synth per se, but I kinda try to treat this particular high synth that goes on throughout the piece as a melodic one. It's decent -- I would have loved something singable though. That would have been my hook, followed by everything else. When I listen to this piece, I find that I don't have anything to hold on to, even though I'm being lost in the music.

And that tends to be a factor with a lot of EDM pieces I enjoy -- chords and instrumentation are great, the beat is nice, there are highs and lows, drops where needed, but especially something to remember it by. Oftentimes this would be a melody. I can't really remember this piece, as such.

No complaints regarding mixing.

6.5/10.
