Hey so Steamy and I are teaming up for the NGADM this year of 2014. We got so excited about being together that we took a lot of time to make this song specifically for the auditions! I mostly did just the vocals and some instrumental elements, but Steamy did most of the composition and production work. I hope we get in so we can perform mad science experiments on people! If not...we'll still do them in a basement somewhere, maybe yours!

I'm posting a few comments on some of the NGADM auditions that particularly stuck out to me, and this is one of them!

I'm just going to say straight up that there are no words to express how excited I am to see that you two have teamed up. Your styles complement each other almost hilariously well. Quirky, disturbing, and trippy all come together into a glorious concoction in a track that has a surprise around every corner, and I'd expect nothing less from a duo like you.

There are so many things I adore about this track, like how the track opens up so widely ten seconds in, both arrangement-wise and mix-wise, or how varied this is, with a bunch of different sections and moods crammed into under 3 minutes of music, while still keeping everything structurally sound. And the singing is something else! I can't deny enjoying the wacky vocal transitions at 0:29 and 2:24 since they add heaps of character to the track, and the scat singing at 1:27 is just priceless. Of course, steampianist's fantastic sense of arrangement and composition have not failed to deliver.

This is breathtaking work. I hope you keep up your A-game, and I'm also hoping for some experimentation from you two (and not just the mad science ones you'll be performing on people). As much as I love the usual circus-like theme, I feel like you both have a plethora of other cards up your sleeve to show us during the competition!
