After a few months of working on and off this track, I'm happy to present this piano/electronic remake of the main caverns theme from the Nintendo video game Metroid II: Return of Samus, which was released in 1991 on the Game Boy.

This was very challenging for me, namely replicating the original tune. All those quick, short notes. X_X Man, and I thought those Space Harrier and Castlevania 2 remakes were tough to create. ^_^;

Hope you all enjoy this track!

Well... Every mix of this theme I've heard is pretty good... I think because the original is a real masterpiece... Maybe I will also join to the "Metroid II Main Theme fever" as soon as I catch a really good and different idea.
Your mix is real worth of listening to... I loved specially the harmony, all the movement through the piece... You keep the music alive in this one and that's just what I excpect from any musical piece. Congrats. Very good work!

i'm only familiar with metroid and super metroid but this sounds good enough to hold up with the original, (i hope) it's always a pleasure to hear something not related to sonic, although i eagerly wait for your next sonic game song but whatever you decide to come up with i'l listen it and give it what it deserves, even though i may sometimes be off duty for quite awhile
