I made this theme for my character, Hyouryuu Ookami (see link here http://lonewolfx220.deviantart.com/art/Hyouryuu-Ookami-287131752) and while it's called "Arctic Avenger", I originally wanted a title with the word "tundra" in it somewhere, but as usual, I suck at naming things. Arctic Avenger is mostly inspired by Fairy Leviathan's stage theme in Megaman Zero 2, which is fitting, since they are both water/ice users weak to fire. Since Hyouryuu is in fact a(n arctic) wolf, I added a howl in the theme, which was taken from Amaterasu from Okami, it was the only solo howl I could find without unwanted background noise.

UPDATE!: I fixed up Arctic Avenger, so now it's slightly shorter, with less repetitive notes, and more wolf howls! :D

Back when I first made this, I always felt there was something incomplete about it, like there was something I could have done to really make this tune stand out. Ironically, it took me wiping my PC and losing my music projects to finally figure out what this theme needed (basically I had to redo this whole theme from scratch). Blessing in disguise, maybe? Aside from adding more instruments, I felt adding in more wolf howls made this more symbolic for the character I made it for. It's called "Arctic Avenger" due to Hyouryuu being the last of his clan, who were on the bad end of a genocide. The additional howls represent his fallen clan calling out to him, giving him the force of will to avenge their deaths. Two of the three wolf howls are Amaterasu's and Wolf O'Donnell's, the third was one I found whilst scrounging the internet.

Lots of stuff that appeals to my appreciation of symbolism. The howl at the end was like a signature.
