I listened to this several times now, and the melody doesn’t get boring for me—very mystifying. I’m really diggin it.
The lead synth you chose, in my opinion, is not the problem as I actually like how it sounds similar to a voice. It just becomes piercing to my ears around 1:35. I think the problem lies in how you mixed it. It’s way up front, and it has a lot of high-end which then causes the piece to lose some of its warmth. If you EQ'd it a bit, perhaps that could solve what others have been saying about it. My ears are enduring it because the melody is so good.

Okay, thanks. Glad atleast someone liked the lead synth. I thought I was the only one. It's very loud compared to the rest. I'll try turning the volume down, and reduce the trebble. Perhaps add more reverb.

very mysterious I really enjoyed the melody but I have mixed feelings with the lead synth I like the melody it gives off but not the type of sytnh that was used IMO. matter of I really enjoy the background instruments more then the lead sytnh it gave off such a wonderful mysterious and magical sound. other then that I honestly really enjoyed the song.

Thanks. I think I will make a new version with a different lead sound. More people didn't like this lead.

Good job here, You did I very good job interpreting the picture, sounds like falling stars! I don't think that it is sad, it is more mystical and introspective, like a reflective piece. I really like the ambiance however i was not a huge fan of the lead synth, although I do see how it fits the pictures.

Interesting tunes. The surprising part is, that I totally got another feeling of the picture than I got by only seeing it. You changed my interpretation of the picture into a slight sad one, where the couple wants to reach the stars or try to get bach to their home planet.

The song turned out a little more sad than I intended. (probably because the girl I dedicated this to just told me she didn't want to go to the Efteling (a theme park) with me). The instruments aren't necessarily appropriate for the painting, because the painting is made on an actual canvas, as opposed to most of the work on Newgrounds, which is digital, yet I use only synthetic instruments. That's all just a bit of artistic freedom I guess.

Not bad, has a nice atmosphere, but I'm not sure about the lead synth, I like everything else, though it's mostly really repetitive. It sounds a little flat in mixing, maybe add to the treble some. I feel it could have more energy as it has potential to, after a while that synth started to hurt my ears at the high notes near the end. I feel the way it sped up felt so sudden without much transition. It's not bad but could've been improved.

Thanks for the review. Glad you like the atmosphere. I understand not everyone likes the lead synth. I tweaked it so certain frequences can break glass. Not sure adding more trebble is go idea It will be even harder on the ears. Perhaps I can later add more instruments like a drumset, and strings. I was affraid that would take away from the atmosphere, but it will add more energy. I'll think about what to do to improve it and try out several things. I thought about making a drum and base remake. I think the melody and chords are suited, but the atmosphere will be very different.
