So there is this huge pop artist here in Mexico that goes by the name Luis Miguel. My mother is a huge fan of his to the point of having the whole of his discography right down to the more obscure tracks. I grew up listening to this guy and I always liked how his band sounded.
Many years later, I was doing a playthrough of Sonic 3 and Knuckles and I had this crazy idea of remixing this song as if it were to be sung by Luis Miguel. I love both Hidrocity acts and at first I was going to do a J-pop approach at this song but in the end I went for Mexican pop.
I made the entire piece in FL9. The brass section, which is made up of trombone and tuba, is Edirol Orchestral, the sax is DVS Saxophone. I was dying to try out my new Addictive Keys VSTi so you can here a lot of electric piano from that. The drums as usual were made in Addictive drums.

Greetings from Mexico!

I don't know Sonic music very well, so I cannot clearly say too much about this, but I got a sour, lounge, jazz feeling that feets great with my musical taste.
The thing I enjoy the must is how you mix every instrument so it sounds in a perfect balance... And that's what I'm trying to learn.
Really enjoyable piece. Good work, my friend. As always!
