Theme: The world of wilderness is shrinking, due to the continuation of humanity to expand their carbon footprints and life. What left in the wild is the hidden beauties.

AIM is a very interesting contest, you work with art pieces to compose the perfectly art-inspired music. I don't care about winning anymore. I want to have fun, just like everyone else!

This piece is the tribute to Mattashi and his amazing entry '"Forest Of Desolation"' Check it out here -- http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/571320

The artpiece that this song based on is http://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/silencefreedom/the-lost-place

This piece took at least 2 hours to work on. Most of the time I spent was all about humanizing the instruments. Especially the flute. The woodwinds were done in Renoise tracker due to the important FXs needed to make the sound become realistic.

Great piece!

I thoroughly enjoy it; lots of harmony and great melodies.

For the sake of constructive feedback: I think it would've been interesting to have a segment in the latter half where the bass strings get somewhat louder, take up more of the soundscape and maybe play a slightly more jumpy rhythm. Just to mix things up a bit more.

But again, that's only for the sake of giving some constructive feedback. I still really like the piece as it is!

Amazing would be a really good filmscore or music for a game. Feel like it lacked something though. Could have been more powerful sounding with some trumpets and horns.
Still another great piece :).
4.5 stars

Hmm, well I know you're very capable of performing better tracks than this and I don't consider this to be bad, at all. To me it sounds like you were testing some instruments and you threw some melodies in there to test their dynamics which sounds reasonable for yourself, but not for a contest.

So yes, I would say that you succeeded in your intent of humanizing the woodwinds in particular, but that's all there is in my eyes (and ears). I'd also suggest to keep things at a lower volume and use compression when things start to get really crowded, not when you're using 3 instruments at best. We can hear them. It gives more breathing space and it literally works like a musical pause between the notes, as well as giving your ears a chance to appreciate each instrument's own dynamics and their place in the song.

Sorry if I have been very critical about this song, but these are points that in my opinion are very important to get through. It's an otherwise enjoyable effort.

All the instruments are in perfect harmony, the flute goes along really well with all the other instruments. I really like this song... Five stars for you!

dude you know i love your industrial and mechlike work right?

this is great and i think out of the few entries you actually did a great job relating the music to the art
i love the composition as well but i think its too dry sometimes the instruments is like scraping my ears. some reverb wouldve made this perfect

but i have to commend you for doing this in 2 hours and the composition is nice so i give it 4.5 stars hooray!
