I'm scared. Oh man! Emid, Bosa, JacobCadmus and PeterSatera entering the AIM contest (by RealFaction). First place $100, 2nd $75, and 3rd $50!!!

I knew I couldn't go with the epic orchestra (It's suicidal when you have FOUR pros competing! And SoundChris is going in too!), so here is something different. The easy part was 'planning'. The hard part was applying what I thought about. And I wanted every instruments to be 'heard'.

There was like 3 stages of making of this. First one was percussion arrangement. Then, the synths and orchestra. Finally it was mastering & mixing. Percussion layers were made in Renoise tracker. The rest was from FL Studio.

All percussion from Damage. Synths from Cyclone, Juggernaut, Evolve, Evolve Mutation 2 and Zebra. Strings & brass from Symphonic Orchestra. And choir from Shevannai. Convolution reverb from Altiverb. Made in FL Studio and Renoise.

I made "Beyond Human", now it's Beyond Machine :3

Let's rock! Even if I make it into Runner UP, I'm still happy!!!!!

Sick stuff dude!

I wish the orchestral sounds (horns 'n cellos) had a little bit more reverb... they're just a little too close for comfort. The touch of humanity lent by Shevannai is an interesting yet I think very good choice. It really contrasts the electronic elements with the most basic and fundamental of all instruments- the human voice. I almost think it might be interesting to put some filters or bitcrusher on the strings before they cut out at the beginning so it sounds like they're being disintegrated or something. :D

The use of all the glitchy stuff is frelling brilliant dude, just awesome, and super tasteful, same with the percs. It's never too Hans Zimmer or too wild or anything. As far as instruments go though, I almost wish you included more woodwinds, like whistles or flutes as these tend to go well with synth stuff due to their sine-like properties and they also go great with human voice- win win.

Let me take the opportunity to randomly say this song makes me want to write lots of music. The only other song to ever do that is the Dan Tranh demo that Step did, which is my favorite epic cinematic track ever.

The mixing/mastering is great. Soon you'll be spending as much time as Skyewintrest does if you're not careful. :3

As far as the image is concerned, this piece is pretty close. I don't really know if it has much of a narrative though... it captures the essence, but doesn't give me a story to go with it. No bonus points I'm afraid. :/

Keep compos(ed/ing)!

Sounds good even for your standards. I like the epicness of it all. The orchestral instruments combined with the electronic parts and the heavy percusion. I like the quirky synth effects and the glitching sounds. Reminds me a lot of some of Susumu Hirasawa's early work in Berserk, but better mixed.

Wow O_O. I can hear that alot of work went into this :O.
Lol really hard to review someone who is already is a genius X3.
Only thing is that I felt that the high hat was a tad bit too loud at some points.
Other than that this is awesome.
Feel like I've rated 5 on alot of the submissions, but nothing can do. The other submissions are just too amazing XD.

Anyways 5, 5 stars for you my friend.
