Yes, I am still here! I've been extremely busy with a variety of projects lately, but I hope to be submitting more music in the near future.

This song is my tribute to Anohana, a delicate piano cover of Secret Base ~What You Gave Me~ (10 years after ver.), originally composed by Machida Norihiko. One of the most stirring pieces of music that I have ever heard, this was a sheer delight to recreate with the sweet and somber tones of a Steinway D. I sincerely hope that you find it as hauntingly beautiful as I do.

This piece is comprised of very dynamic layers, so headphones are definitely recommended. When in doubt, turn up the volume!

Absolutely beautiful. Adding some sounds of water(referencing [NAME REDACTED]) would've been great too, but I love it either way.

Aw, thanks! A bit of running water in the background, eh? Just thinking about it brings out the feels. Not a bad idea at all, though it usually seems like more people complain about ambient sound effects than enjoy them.

I really appreciate the quick review, Ziel! May you continue to enjoy the music.

Simply elegant! Very emotional piano piece. Good to hear that you're still composing hehe. The piano sounds great, not too bright, just a bit mellow but fits the song well. Maybe a touch of more reverb would have sounded better on this, but anyways, that's just whatever the mastering engineer decides! ;)
5 stars my man!

ChronoNomad responds:

Thanks, Sonic! The emotion inherent in this cover is definitely its most important component, and it's wonderful to know that it comes across so well. With solo instrument projects like this it can be tricky to strike the right balance, and I'm glad to hear that the piano sounds appropriately mellow and not overly bright. Much appreciation for those five stars, man! ^__^ Yep, I'm still here...lol

Thank you ever so much, Dragonskooldx. It truly does possess the deepest and most poignant of feels, and that is precisely why I needed to put this out there. Though its name may forever remain a mystery, we will always remember the flower we saw that day.
