Wasteland is supposed to be the background music for the very first level in a game I was making, "Close Call." It can still happen, but I don't want the music sitting around gathering dust.
The inspiration for this song comes from the very first level of StarFox 64. I wanted something anthemic and uplifting to get the player motiviated at the beginning.
"Close Call" is also supposed to be music based, meaning events in the game coincide with what's going on in the music. As you'll hear, there's an intense movement in the middle when a mid-level boss comes in for a spat.
