>Original track by <a href=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkk2H3Ztrfk&feature=kp>Disclosure</a>. This version made in Renoise by Exaro featuring:

- samples from various chiptune sound packs including Sir Cedric's Drums; Games and 8-bit Kit Vol 1+2; and Tweakbench Peach VSTi
- an Akai XR10 tambourine sample :D
- a basic square bass made in Massive
- <a href=https://soundcloud.com/mnek-1/white-noise-acapella-mnek>vocals by MNEK</a>

>This track marks my return to Newgrounds!

I really like Disclosure, and I feel I'm best at making covers nowadays, so this track was inevitable. This is the kind of sound most of my new music has; chiptune-inspired lo-fi dance.

MNEK's vocal Refix was originally sung at 116 bpm and in a lower key, whereas I was trying to go off the original version at 120bpm. The fix for this was to speed up the playback of the sample using Renoise's internal transpose function, and then find the correct pitch using AUPitch (the built-in Apple pitch shifter plugin). I'm really happy with how the vocals turned out; MNEK pitched up makes an incredibly convincing girl.

My second favourite part of this project was putting in all of the various percussion sounds and transcribing all of the cool rhythms using my sample collection and EQ'ing and bitcrushing them. Obviously the main lead/bass was a copy-paste job, however I did encounter a few difficulties when distorting them together on a send track which were interesting to overcome.

Also with the ending; I changed it to have another chorus because there was a lot more in the vocal track that I didn't use, and I wanted to use that chorus somewhere so that's just where it ended up I guess.

>TL;DR: I had a lot of fun making this track, and I really hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I do!
