Solo piano, 6:12. The quality took a hit; sounds like a 40's recording. Very Chopinesque.

I didn't know anyone this professional sounding was on newgrounds! I find it amusing seeing some of the reviewers yell at you in reviews saying it's too quiet then too loud. That's part of the genius of this piece! Dynamics!

I saw you respond to someone that this is all computer generated, and I'm sure that took you a freakishly long time to get all that right...It sounds human! I commend you on your skills there.

This sounds like Chopin incarnate...I'm serious...lol.

I've got to say...I REALLY want the sheet music for this and all your piano pieces! Please send them to me! :) My email is schurmanater@hotmail.com

"Indeed very Chopinesque"

date: December 8, 2006

Quickly, when I saw the title I thought this was an interpretation of chopin's ballade no.1, but then I heard.

I don't think I have to compliment you further, as the other reviews do a good job of that.

Guess the romantic period isn't completely over!

I'd very much appreciate if you could review my playing. I highly regard the opinion of someone who can compose like you.

"I admire this"

Simon, you show that you have genuine respect for things that are before your time, but impact you to emulate and recreate the feeling of when it was so prominent in it's time. The quality I didn't really have a qualm with as it did give a nice record like feel to it, made it a sweet and nostalgic reference and is enjoyable to listen to.

I'm glad to see someone like yourself on NG's audio portal, helps bring some diversity to the listening quota. I'm aware this isn't music for everyone, people can't all appreciate music before their time, and those who do aren't really in anyway "superior" so I end this with a happiness in abilities and appreciation for it.

"Incredible"

date: November 4, 2006

I totally agree with all of the insightful comments Wintang just made. There's little left to be said about thie piece, but I might reiterate -

You are a highly, HIGHLY underappreciated artist here. Your music inspires me. All theory and music tech-talk aside, I thought you might like to know that.

Astonishing work - simple amazing. Feel free to drop me a line anytime.

Author's Response:

Jackie, you are far too kind, and it really does mean a lot to me that my music could make you feel as much.

I always like to say, though, that I have just enough appreciation here to get reviews like WinTang's and yours, and that's all the appreciation I would ever need here at NG.

Thanks a million, truly, for the reviews you've left me.
