"Nurse! I need a piss pot, and a pan, and a brush........ and a doctor!"

What better way to kick off the new year than with a bang, eh? (Or a drop. lol.) I worked on this piece for about a week, mostly trying to get everything to fit into its proper place in the mix.

As far as the production goes, I took cues from the DMZ label and the label's output while I was making this choon. Pretty minimal and basic. Trying to go back to the roots of the sound. If anything brostep has diluted the proper sounds that defined the beginnings of proper dubstep. We need more low-end wobbles!

Alas, that may never happen.

To take a quote from Dr Zorndyke: "The world will not be destroyed, it will simply change."

Hope you enjoy this.

As always, I enjoy criticism so please don't hesitate to leave a review. Be sure to rate the track too.

Lastly, HAPPY 2014!

I really enjoyed this since it is true Dubstep. This has the original chill and grimy sound without the lfo basslines becoming to intense. Well done for making a sound people have long forgotten.

Big. Definitely has that early-DMZ vibe to it. Loving the Human Traffic sample.

nice try.

Your rhythm is good, but where the drop, or a wobble, or even a synth driven bassline?

Mophead367 responds:

The first drop is at 1:09. That's where the wobble first makes its appearance.

The second drop is at 4:11.
