Interesting

Interesting...where did you find the idea for this piece? Call me Zen if you reply to this review. That's what MaestrowRage calls me. I'm sure you've heard of him...anyway this piece brings a story with a gentle flowing melody. A young man wanders throughout the earth searching for something that will fill the emptiness of his soul. Finally after many years of searching he has found it. What it is you ask? Only you can answer that...heh. What is it for me? Jesus Christ. Plain and simple. Keep up the good work...

Good job.

Not many people are able to put such emotion into their songs. I salute you, good sir.

MaestroSegments responds:

Thank you, I try to fill the song with as much emotion as possible ^^.

Ya...

Well... even though I was joking and making a point.. (you better have gotten it -.-) we all know I was an ass not to leave a proper review: So for this piece I will.

The beginning... for some strange reason sort of sounded middle-eastern or arabian or something similar. I didn't really like it... but then at about 0:35 (I think... i suck at counting) new instruments came in and it immediately caught my attention. I loved it.

Then later on... those strings come in... the effect that gave off was tremendous. A wonderful piece... I'll be watching you and learning from you from hear on in my friend.

Oh, and those strings later on at the end (this is really amateurish but i'm writing this review AS I listen to your piece for the first time) are really... err... good? lol.

5/5 from me SS... keep em coming buddy.

MaestroSegments responds:

I'm glad you felt moved by this piece MusicalSerenity, as i'm sure you know, every piece I make, I try to emulate a certain feeling, a certain idea and story, to tell the rest of the world of places in their head that they themselves don't know exist. I like to think of every song I make as a key, to somewhere else.

Lame I know, but still, thats why i'm here ^^. Thank you for the review.

very well done

Your stuff reminds me of MaestroSorrow and Milkman an a bit, it's probably the drumming. I would suggest you write in more parts in the basses, sometimes the piece felt like it was lacking a solid bass. Some pizzcato in the double bass could really sound neat in places, like people are tiptoeing around.

Your music fit your description nicely, I could certainly see ghosts creeping along in a graveyard, or something along those lines. Great work!

5/5

MaestroSegments responds:

Thank you DavidOrr, I'm glad you enjoyed the piece ^^, I sure as hell enjoyed writing it.

I'll see what I can do about that bass aspect. Thanks for the review
