My goal was to make a sad song with a lot of emotion.

Unfortunately, I didn't have all the instruments I needed for this type of song so I had to use synths. I made the strings myself and attempted to add some variety to each chord to make it sound more realistic, however, it's unnoticeable.

The guitar-sounding synth's off notes were intentional. I wanted it to sound like the instrument was dying.

I tried really hard to make it sound like I can play piano even though I can't at all. I changed the softness and note length of most notes. Also, if any chords are wrong, please tell me and I will quickly fix it.

This song's mixing isn't my best, but I felt it was decent enough to submit. I will gladly correct mixing flaws if people tell me them in their reviews. I don't know how to further improve the mix myself. The only thing I don't like is the kick. I changed both the kick sample and the EQ 3 times.

I used sounds from:

Thankyou for listening! And thankyou to TheDoor6 and VirtualStylerz for suggestions!

update 10/14/13:
I used Audacity to further improve the master EQ. I can't raise frequencies in fl studio's master channel, it sounds terrible.

Wow, I loved this song! I was quite surprised when I saw in the description that you can't play the piano. o_o It sounds so perfect! The only problem in my opinion is that I couldn't even notice that was a guitar until I read it in the description. Perhaps it would be better if it sounded less eletronic. I still liked how it sounds, anyway.
Oh, and I'd like to ask something! I thought this song fits very well with the mood of the RPG Maker horror game I'm working in, so would you mind if I used this song as the game theme? I'll give you the proper credits if I manage to finish the game, of course!

BlueOceans responds:

Thank you for the review! Yes, you can use my song in your game, as well as any other of my songs.

Aw, you're welcome! :D I like the emotion and atmosphere. Not really what I had in mind for the guitar solo (something less electronic-sounding might've worked better), but nevertheless I'm honored that you took my suggestion. At times it reminds me of "Break-up" by Valexius, especially after 2:30 with the harsh, yet somehow relaxing instruments. I like the strings, as well as the ending, and overall it had a lot of variety and good structural elements. Good job, BO! ;D

BlueOceans responds:

Thankyou for the review! I'm sorry the guitar solo wasn't what you expected/wanted. I did not have a good guitar sample to use. If you want to hear the only guitar sample I have, you can listen to my song, Dream of You, again.

This gave me the chills, man. My only complaint is that the end has too much excitement, it sounds more like a build-up. Otherwise, it's an awesome song. I'd like to hear more from you

BlueOceans responds:

Thankyou for the review. It was a build up, to the ending of the song.
