This is a short song that was commissioned for a 10-minute production that I did throughout the last year, in which I was responsible for the visual and musical coordination of a 35-piece drum corps.

The live-played version can be found in the following link, as well as the rest of the show (don't forget to remove the spaces):

This is great! Your composition is wonderful. Reminds me a little of the music from Carmen - sexy, mysterious. I think, in terms of instruments used, the song could be fleshed out a little bit - the VSTs have a bit too much release on them so they don't quite punctuate the transitions.
Other than that, s'my only gripe. I always love how fearlessly you dive into chord progressions. The live vid is great! Makes me miss being in drum corps. :)

camoshark responds:

Thanks Phoam, glad you liked it, and I very much enjoy the comparison to Carmen, at it was one of my inspirations!

Regarding samples, I absolutely despise the ones I have, even after the HEAVY tweaking I had to do to decrease the release tail. Those are EWQLSO samples, and for supposed top-of-the-line quality, I am VERY unimpressed by their quality. Unfortunately, that's the best I've got. If you've got a cheap alternative, I would gladly take a look!

Again, many thanks for the review, and I'm glad to know you also were in a drum corps. Quite a small world this is! :)

Nice Job! Your brass sounds always so clean! How many brass are actually playing? Great composition too!

camoshark responds:

If you're referring to individual voices, there are 7, but this was interpreted with a lineup of 14 brass.

Thanks for the comment, I'm glad you liked it!
