I was expecting so =) Its just that I think of 'dance music' as something that people can dance to. Something groovy, and not something so fast that they can't move their feet to it. With that in mind, this isn't very dancey =(
The song is evil though, but I hear some distortion? Did you compress this? If not, I would suggest that you learn how to use a compressor and use it... it'll be one of the most valuable tools in your music life =)
You did a good job though, I enjoyed it. Keep it up! Could you drop by my audio page and check out my music soemtime? I'd appreciate it =D

Yeah, like I said I was going for the "subtle" dance feel. Kind of like what you would hear as background music for a club scene in a movie or something.
The "melody," if you could call it that, is supposed to be distorted. I also had to use a lower bit rate to fit in the Portal, and it seems to hurt it a lot. A better version is on my MySpace page, PM me if you want it.
