You awake in the inn of the town of Lebesk. There a little girl, who is apparently the innkeepers daughter, walks up to you in your room and asks you for your name.

This is the Town Theme for an NES Dragon Warrior styled game I am making.
Yes I know that 8-bit games are overdone, but it is a solo, maybe duo project I am working on, and I have plenty of ideas to still make the game unique.
I am limiting how many instruments are playing at once in these songs as for all of them only 4 instruments will ever be playing at once. I want the feel of these songs to be as genuine as possible, and NES songs only ever had 4 instruments playing at once.
And I am sorry, but I don't plan on making it a flash game, so don't expect it on the Portal, however... All music from the game is going to be uploaded here on Newgrounds!
Anyways, I hope you enjoy this Town theme. I recently found out something new in regards to making kick drum sounds for 8-bit, and implemented it into this piece, probably going to do so in my other songs as well. Enjoy!
Also, as a new rule... all of these songs are subject to change based on your reviews.. if you don't like it, let me know. Give me valid reasons, and I will take it into consideration. If the song fits the feel I want it to be, I see no reason to change it. But I always love to hear your opinions.
Not bad :-) I have not had a lot of experience in making bit songs, but I don't need that to be able to tell you that what you have here is well composed. It's not overly repetitive, it stays interesting. And your EQ levels sound good to my ears - nothing in conflict with each other.
It makes for a good loop, too!

When I think of a 8-bit version of a town, I think of the early Pokémon soundtracks. Nice and relaxing basslines and pad'ish chords to back it up. ...I should stop stereotyping like that. :P
This bassline was the first thing that came into my mind when I listened to this.
It gives a great relaxed and joyful feeling, and what I can explain as "a sense of safety from the beyond".
I enjoy this track, and the everything seems mastered really nicely, and I can keep listening to this for a while without being annoyed, that has a factor as well, and you executed that out good here. :)
The only thing I noticed in this was that it doesn't loop totally perfectly. And since I know that Newgrounds loops loops perfectly, I know it has something to do with the project and how it was rendered. If anything fails, add an automation with no purpose at the end to fool the program to think that something will happen. ;P
yeah I am sure it's a rendering issue because it loops fine in OGG format while in game.. for some reason it like took off that split second when I exported it. I should probably be nice and fix that for my newgrounds listeners shouldn't I? ;P
