- NGADM Round 2 Review -

What's noticeable right away is your production quality and excellent use of effects. There's a nice crispness throughout the song, with the exception of some slight muddling when it gets fuller around 2:40. This track also has great progression, although the first minute was definitely the most repetitive and got boring quick, but then takes you by surprise at 1:03. Your transitions are generally well-integrated, *especially* the one from 1:30 to 1:42. I loved how the song went back to its roots in the introduction at 3:33. How it went from there was well done, and brought the track to a satisfying end. Definitely an enjoyable track, as well as one of my favorites from this round.

Score: 8.8

NGADM Round 2 Review

Now this is what I call an intriguing track! I cannot get over the amount of detail and the overall production value, simply awesome. You change things up often, so I often surprised! A prime example of this element of surprise takes place at 1:04 and then shortly after 1:33 when that soft, bubbly synth breaks through the background of the track...and then again at 1:59 (I adored this portion of the song by the way)! The outro was pretty simple, but at the same time it was really something, too. I like how things start to stall and glitch out slightly near the end of the track, it really speaks to the theme of the song.

The introduction lacks real substance, and it is fairly generic and predictable. However, after you break out of the intro, things quickly got very interesting! As for repetition...the main melody and latter part of the song are just full of it. A little more variation would work nice in many parts of the song, mainly with the main melody, but overall repetition is not a huge issue.

Fantastic effects, crazy progression, and excellent mixing. Well done garlagan, this is something to be proud of! :D

Score: 8/10

oh man, I'm in for quite a fight! O_O

this is absolutely superb! although you can take my praise with a grain of salt, because I know next to nothing about this genre. but man this kicks ass! a very dance-able bass line and catchy melody. I like your sound palette; colour is IMO one of the main things that can make or break a song, and I think you definitely made it. I probably say that because this reminds me of Daft Punk, and I absolutely love them!

I'm glad you're back in the tournament; I can't wait to hear your round 3 entry! ^_^

Hi. Oops, forgot to post this at first.

The Good:
-Those are some super neat-o effects. Nice sound design.
-Some really cool parts where almost all sound is removed for a sudden hit.
-If that lead melody is really a snare that's pretty darn sweet.

The Not-So-Good:
-This sounds kinda empty, it feels like it's missing a background.
-Clipping issues at 1:42.

Overall: Score of 8.5/10. Holy crap, I really liked this. At first I didn't due to the emptiness, but it's really unique. Awesome sound design. The main thing I would have liked is some better background atmosphere.
