Obviously, Danny Burer and Carley Durant deserve a lot of credit for this song (engineering and vocals, respectively) but they're not competing, so I hope to do them proud with this entry!

Mastah'd in Logic Pro X, which is, in fact, growing on me...

Wow, wow. Very very well done. I just listened to it like 5 times in a row.

I was looking forward to your entry because I enjoyed your previous track. I think you massively improved your mixing on this track - and just about everything else, too! I love the addition of subtle electronic elements in this song, like the subtle square arp, and the subtle acoustic guitar stutters around 1:55. I felt like that gave the pop song a particularly unique flavor.

Although I initially through the duet was cheesy (and I still kind of do), by the time that I listened to the vocals I realized that along with the story that you told, they actually work much better than I usually expect. (Except... they both sing "why wont you pick up the phone?" That makes no sense xD)

Also, has anyone told you you sound like Chris Martin from Coldplay? Honestly I'm not the biggest fan of Coldplay, but I think that he has a fantastic voice - and your voice is really really good too.

I'm going to go ahead and give this a 10. It's not completely perfect - I kind of want more melodic variation - but I felt greedy holding back, because everything else is working in this song. I could hear this song on some contemporary band's album without batting an eye.

A very well done and unexpected Pop song enters this already very interesting competition! The instrumental track is very well put together, and both your lyricists are skilled singers and have very distinctive voices. However, I did feel that the combination wasn't quite as excellent as the sum of its parts.

I found the instrumental track to be somewhat too demonstrative, and as a result it tends to drown out the vocals. From the beginning of the song I was waiting to see if there would be some kind of level adjustment when the lyrics kicked in, because even those first guitar strums are a little overwhelming. During the sparser instrumental sections, such as between 2:01 and 2:18, the lyrics are really allowed to shine, and it sounds quite exceptional. :)

The way you end the song from 2:38~ is lovely and thoroughly appropriate to the genre, but I do wish that there were some deviation to the lyrical note progression, if only by having one of the singers going down the scale on the last note as opposed to up. This section has a lot of potential for variation, but there is very little.

This is such a mainstream genre that I can't help but offer lots of constructive criticism. I still find it to be an top notch submission, which is reflected in my overall score. Best of luck to you in the competition!
