3 1/2 hours in a quiet room with a microphone, a snare drum and the voice of an asthmatic angel. Made in a Tuesday night, this beat has a lot of little details put into it. A friend asked me if I could make a sort of "boss battle" kind of beat, so I went to work on a beat, but I couldn't quite get that feel of a boss battle beat out of it, so I set the project aside, and started a new little project I called Jetpack. It's called Jetpack because I tried to emulate the little 8-bit intro synth in a game I REALLY liked called Dark Void Zero for the DSi. One of my favorite downloadable DSi games. In this game, you run around collecting stuff and shooting the bejeezus out of the swarms of enemies that fly or run at you, and you use a jetpack to fly around and collect things. The jetpack was the main theme of the game, so I decided to make a strong hiphop beat over a techno-inspired redo of the intro synth of the 8-bit style game, and I wailed on my snare drum for a bit, and then I sang 3 harmonizing voices to make it a bit more "epic", and I realized it fit the requirements to be a good battle beat. And this was the end result! Hope you like it. Leave your thoughts and criticisms below! I read them all.

Boss music sounds about right. Fantastic hype track here, loving the synth melody and all the sexy percussion.

Thank you for calling my percussion sexy, good sir! Have a wonderful day.

DOOOOPE! Imma steal this and use it somehow, someday, after I record that other track you've been waiting on for like a thousand years.

PinkScissorsMedia responds:

xDDD You go ahead and do that.
