This song is best with headphones!

Made on Ableton Live. I got inspired to make this song when I heard the Black Ops zombie theme music. So, I made a similar yet original song about zombies.

Please review, rate, and favorite if you like it! More songs will be coming out soon!

Enjoy,

It's great. But the first 40 seconds of it could be shortened. There is a sort of unnecessary long progression until around 0:40 when you hear all the instruments together. I'd personally remove like a full two bars of the progression and replace them with two bars of the thing going on from 0:40 until 0:45, when the break comes.
To explain ( and not sound like a twat): that main loop is quite interesting, and I believe that the instrumental progression until you hear all those instruments, before the 0:45, makes you lose the excitement of the whole thing.

Because you hear it in pieces, as it progresses, and it already bores a bit the ear until you get to what you really mean.

The riff is very interesting, and nice, and evoking. It's good! The instruments chosen really fitted the idea, gave the feeling of a rush, like you're rushed to do something, hurry!

The mastering is crisp, the bass instrument really pounds the rhythm and the drums compliment really well what the piano is doing, rhythmically.

The thing the song could benefit is a little bit of variation, but if this piece of music is meant to be heard while you play a game or something, that variation would subtract from the ambiance, so then there's really nothing more bad to be said here.

All in all, a nice piece of work!

Thank you for the review and helpful tips! I'll probably make another version sometime and shorten the beginning and make it have more variations.

I can see that black ops Zombie theme and how its related.

I was expecting some instruments from the Orchestra but it still sounds cool, it gives me a feel of a more zombie game not as realistic to Black ops/Resident Evil/DayZ.

Its a great theme, someone said about your synths as I read and I would have to agree, I would of changed the synths to some strings!

At the end it just stops? You could of faded it out or done more! are you still working on this at all or finished it?

I like this theme and as I said, the realistic side, it reminds me of a 2D zombie game or a Indie game. Great stuff! I also PMed you about something I need! ;)

Radiationator responds:

Thanks for the review! The end kind of stops because I planned on having it loop, but it didn't loop good, so it just turned into an abrupt ending xD

I plan on working on this some more sometime, and making a better version.

Right from the beginning the inspiration is pretty apparent. I'm not really sure how I feel about your instrument choices. Your synths sound a bit too flat, maybe too trebly for my tastes. The low end doesn't feel like its fully there, giving a kind of empty feeling.

I like your drum sounds and piano though. Piano notes were nice and I liked the heavy kick. The outro was a bit too abrupt but I feel like you meant for this to loop so that isn't an issue. Transitions were kind of hit or miss for me.
Song was decent though and could work for a title theme.

Thank you for the review! :)

I will take your advice in and try to improve on it!
