"chillin'"

date: August 8, 2006

Your sound design is unsurpassed. A true genius of sound. The ambience is very strong in this one. Sets the mood with grace.

The full drums are interesting but a little busy. Other than that, the pluck is crisp and doodads (as Brian and I have come to call them). Oh, and good use of delay.

Drop an email sometime...let me know what you're up to. See ya round.

Author's Response:

Hey man! - I will do that - email PM etc.

"genius of sound" and "unsurpassed" are pretty strong terms - I don't really consider myself either to be honest. Besides I don't actually make any of this crap - I pay local kids to do it for me then I pass it all off as my own.

:D

"nice one"

date: August 8, 2006

the very very intro, was sweet. sharp and surprising. i like this track already. the 'hi-hat' part suits it nicely. sounds very wet and squelchy. in terms of style this is rural, almost native american sounding track. WAHEY and its got a 3rd section, really like that percussive trickle thing. and the thunderclaps kicks. i think this take top spot for me out of the ambient tracks of yours. could have done with more build up perhaps a higher more elevated melody to come in at a peak in the track. very nice anyway. 9!

Author's Response:

Thanks - this piece was originally intended to be wwwwaaaaayy longer but at some point I decided to chop it down and submit it - I'd probably still be working on it if I didn't... Once it was chopped up I'm sure that it lost something but.. well... that's how it goes.

"Love"

date: August 2, 2006

I love these kind of Ambient tracks. Slow paced strings and fast paced drums. Well, moderate paced drums, at least. Now the string tunes are simple, but doesn't make it anyless awesome. But it's in the percussion i can tell where your effort has been focused. The hip-hop beats felt ill placed in the beginiing, but when you've listened to it a couple of times you can't imagine what you should put there instead. I also noticed that the end is just the same as the intro, only it's played in reverse. Very nice!

Downloaded, and fived. I'll have to search a long time before i find Songs that can match up to this one :)

"Trancy!!!"

by: Kaija
date: July 24, 2006

A bit repetitive for my taste... but very relaxing. Man, if you had vocals in this it would sound awesome!

At one point, I just couldn't help from singing.. I got sucked into the trance!! I just started singing my mumbleonia and I loved it! :D

Very nice.

Author's Response:

yes - repetitive is a good word for it -

needs vocals? Well? then get on it! :D

Send me some and I'll stick 'em in there.

Thanks again!
