Author Comments

An original audio, done with Audacity and Guitar Pro 6.

Composed in a non pop-ish structure.
Experimental use of heavy synths, bass with delay effects, reversed and normal guitars, and weird percussion.

It is sort of psychedelic - as intended. It is actually a love song - it is a WIP as I still have to record the vocals.

Enjoy - and if so, please rate appropriately.

Reminds me of something Maynard might have done as a side-project outside of Tool. Very cool vibes, love the effects on the guitar, and i'd be very interested to see what kind of vocals you'd layer on to something like this. Definitely a lot of talent at work here. I agree that it could use some percs as well, but you might lose that deep and heavy sound you're going for. As you said though, it's a WIP. But keep it at!

Thank you for the kind words! I'm also pretty curious how I'll end up doing the vocals, how I'll layer them and where I'll place them.

Cheers!

Hey

This is almost chillin' electro :D

As it's experimental, I wanted to review the sound design:
Intro could be longer, little step by little step. The intro-bass (panned right) comes to quickly IMO.
The same intro-bass could change its pan over time.
Would need some high-end: why not adding timbals/percs with high-EQ'd delays at some random points in the mix :D
The general feel is great: the track slowly evolves, that's great !

You could actually make a pretty good ambiance/chill mix from these sounds :D cool inspiration

cya ;)

Yes, I see where you're coming from with the bass-synth, it kinda does come out of the blue at the intro. Will see if a longer intro works better!
