um

sounds german. bleak as hell. not that german's are bleak :) oof, we've suddenly jumped from germany to middle eastern style sitars and a funky beat. weird change. hmmmm still sounds bleak tho. cool track.
hell if i know...

LJCoffee responds:

Yeah I like doing things like that I suppose - jamming things together that may not mix correctly - sparse drums mixed with the twitchy strings.

I really wasn't sure what to make of it hence the name...

BELLY DANCE!

Agreed with PedroMancuso: Secret Chiefs 3 is an awesome band and totally up your alley. They fuse oriental music with just about any style - from techno to metal.

This was a neat experiment, but you can take it much further, I'd like to be swept between different cultures until I don't know which is which anymore :)

Keep it up! 4/5

LJCoffee responds:

Slamming two or three different styles together is always fun :)

I did something similar with "Those Soulful Chinese" you might dig that track if you liked this one.

check out 'secret chiefs 3' album 'book of horizons', you will dig, sampled quite a bit of that and mashed up to play live for stuff i won't post on NG for fear of being sued.

LJCoffee responds:

hell if i know

so you are give full permition to take you work and actually inprove or modify it?
oh and its a good song.

LJCoffee responds:

Within reason.

I'd still retain all rights and I'd only ask that you credit me if you create derivative works but if you want to remix any of this or use it for anything then I won't mind. The only thing I ask is that you don't make any money in any way off of it in any way.

If you have a specific use in mind or any questions then email me at multimediamaster@gmail.com

thanks

This is the best day of my life...

Because LjCoffee released 4 new tracks.
Heres the review.

Pros +

+ Ambience is lovely
+ Love the distorted NiN drum glitches
+ Love the reverse-ish middle eastern oud thingy
+ If I'm not mistaken you featured the same glitch from Blitz?
+ Flawless song

Cons +

- Nothing to con about :D

10'd and fifen'd

LJCoffee responds:

Concerning the same glitch from Blitz - it was a similar bit that I had left over although this exact one wasn't used in Blitz. I usually end up with a bunch of unused stuff from this or that track and every once in a while I'll throw all of the leftovers in a pot together to see what happens. Sometimes it's cool sometimes it just doesn't work at all.

You liked the ethnic bits - Kingbastard didn't care for them - I guess it's all a matter of personal preference eh?

btw - if you haven't yet heard his stuff then go listen!! He's extremely talented search the AP for either Kingbastard, or myheadisaballon - all of his stuff is great.
