This is the first of (hopefully) a lot to come from me and Star. She wrote this song and chord sequence herself at first. Then we decided to collaborate on the song and work on it.

After one day of recording different versions and experimenting with different flavors, this was the final cut.

Reminds me of something that Prussian Blue would do, but without the "politics".

i agree with BlueOceans,
either the vocals need a boost or the guitar less.
however once you have done one of these things,
maybe u could think about editing the vocals just a little bit?
with a tad reverb maybe,
widen it a bit to make it sound a bit fuller.. or anything of your choice lol

Thanks for the review, reverb does sound like a good idea!

It's very hard to hear the vocals. They need to be more clear and louder than the guitar. If you can't get clearer vocals, I think you should lower the guitar so it's not overpowering the vocals. I like the chords and melodies. It sounds like a very sad song. It reminds me of Kelly Clarkson's album My December, specifically the songs Maybe, Sober, and Irvine.

Shabadaman responds:

Thanks for your input. I do agree that the vocals should be louder.

Man, it sounds like a start! The chord progression is great, but the guitar totally over-powers her voice. I think this is mostly a reflection on your recording equipment, though. If there is anything you can do to bring out her voice and make it less distorted and muffled, do it. Otherwise, get a new mic. :P
If you get the chance to work on this more, maybe make a piano intro and have the guitar come in later as a crescendo.
I would love to hear you improve and work with this style more! :D

We recorded it with an iPhone and I took the audio from there! Aha I'll try and work on getting the guitar to be quieter, maybe we'll record it again! We're going to be posting a remix very soon! :D
