Full Title: 8-Bit Sonic 2- Jingles and Short Themes Piano

Here is a collection of all the short themes and jingles, redone as piano/electronic remixes & covers, from the 8-Bit version of Sonic 2, which was released in 1992 on the Sega Master System and Game Gear.

This could prove useful to someone who wants to make a Sonic fan-game, for example.

The tracks in this submission are:
"Title Screen [Game Gear] / Intro [Master System]", "Zone Title Card", "Stage Clear!", "Life Lost", "Will You Continue?", "Game Over", "Speed Shoes [Master System]" , "Invincibility", "Chaos Emerald" and "The End".

Rather than having each of these tunes be in their own separate entries in the Newgrounds Audio Portal, it seems like a better idea to simply combine them all into one submission.

Everything is spaced out just right: making it relatively easy to simply pull out what ever part(s) you might want to use from this compilation in audio editing software, such as Audacity, Wavepad, etc.

This is a collaboration between me and John "EspioKaos" Weeks.

MIDIs Sequenced by John Weeks and Dr. Mack Foxx. Additional composing and arrangement by Dr. Mack Foxx.

Special thanks to Recorderdude for helping to debug my own MIDI sequences.

MIDIs by John Weeks modified and used with permission. Please note: I do have written permission to post this from John Weeks.

Well, it is a synthesized piano. [nod] Glad you like the sound, even if my soundset is extremely old (It was released back in 1995). Very glad you enjoyed this compilation and thank you very much for the excellent review! :)

This is a piano and 8-bit is quite misleading and actually incorrect. However ignoring that bit it is a good bunch of jingles.

4/5

DrMackFoxx responds:

Ah. Well, the 8-bit version of Sonic 2 on Sega Master System and Sega Game Gear has a completely different soundtrack than the Sega Genesis version of Sonic 2. Hence, why "8-Bit" is part of the title: to differentiate this track from being confused with the Sega Genesis Sonic 2 soundtrack. That and the hideously-short submission title limit of Newgrounds doesn't help, either. -_-

Nonetheless, thank you for the good review score and I'm glad you liked this compilation. :)

Always a pleasure to hear the excellent works of EspioKaos and DrMackFoxx. And they certainly haven't disappointed here.
