To the reviewer below me, I think the screeches at 0:30 and 01:02 are intentional. What they do is complement the electronic sound from the guitar, making it sound more improvised and laid back.
The flatness is part of that atmosphere as well.

This song has a very particular atmosphere in the sense that it seems to want to excite, with the electronic sound, but instead does the opposite. It has a stunning effect, lulling you with an electric lullaby almost. It sounds good.

pitbulljones responds:

Hi Matich,

Thanks for the review again. You understand that all my choices on this track were intentional. There's that lovely word I'm always associated with on here 'atmosphere', love it! That is always my aim when creating a track. Really glad you enjoyed the track.

Cheers

Not bad.
But it sounds a bit flat.
Also, around 0:30, there's a weird high pitched tone, repeating at and 1:02. And probably a lot of other times.
I suppose the mastering will take care of that some day.

pitbulljones responds:

Hi UnDeadCyBorG,

Thanks for your review. I disagree that the track sounds flat, it's compressed to stop excessive peaks, the intention for this track is too be used in a game or video as background music. That high pitched tone is from the actual guitar amp, all intentional. Unlike synth work which can be tweaked to your hearts content, live playing is just that, live. As it pops up in 2 points in the progression I can confirm it is an intentional decision.

cheers.
