For the Art Inspired Music contest. Heavily inspired by Guhin's "Through, Rain, Sleet, or Snow".

Representation of this robot's journey through a futuristic world. Comprised of simplistic sound waves as they would reverberate across the city.

PS: Yubin is Japanese for "mail"

I appreciate you Guhin, for being a phenomenal artist!

Wow...now this is definitely different from the other entries I've heard so far. The picture reminds me of old children's books and so and such, it's a happy sunny day and this robot is delivering the mail in the future. This piece definitely lines up with that, I could also see this as game music. However, 2:33 is a tad short for a piece. With that said, this song itself makes you feel happy and positive and is a feel good song, good job. My only other complaint is the bird tweeting sound effects seem too constant and irritate my ears a little with the high pitch and all, takes away some from the rest of the song and could do without them so frequently. Overall though, great job.

frootza responds:

Thanks RF! I appreciate the positive review. I tend to go for quality, not "quantity", although I have written longer pieces before. I notice that people get bored very easily even if the music is brilliantly orchestrated when the song goes past a certain time limit.

The bird tweet was meant to be the sound of the robot, walking along the road :) Overall, this was a great contest, and fun to be a part of! Had fun writing this piece and speaking with the artists directly about the mood they wanted to evoke in their piece!

Cool song. Very happy and robotlike. Perfectly fits the image. Also nice to hear something that's different from the other submissions. That voice like synth is very good.

Hey Sour!

Dude, really happy that you reviewed one of my songs! I seriously love your work!

I'm glad that you appreciated the song and that I delivered the message properly to at least someone, that was my goal! Best of luck in GameJam!
