This was my submission for the second round of the NGMT! As with the first, my inspiration sprung mainly from this picture:

I wanted to create something that portrayed the sense of standing outside of the Biodome, watching in awe as its protective barrier glimmers and glitches about in the sunlight. Hopefully I did just that! I think I could have done a much better job, though there are things about this piece I really like. As such, this song was both a frustration and a joy to make.

Great song, but it upsets me a lot. It reminds me of 2008, when I first bought Mass Effect 1 and played the shit out of it. How I spent so much time, effort, and hope on the series only for it to be brought to a halt in the worst ways just for a company to make money...

Still, fantastic song, keep up the work.

I am listening and typing at the same time. As I review this song a daydream takes over and takes me to another place. The atmosphere was fantastic! This one was good for me and proves again that you are a serious musician. Half a star off cause ur a dude and only hot chicks get 5!

Neon-Bard responds:

That's what I like to hear! If this song can do that, then that's simply fantastic. Thank you for the great compliment btw, it means a lot. :)

Now if only I were to be a "hot chick"...I can only imagine the possibilities for 5 star ratings now haha!

Good song. Very atmospheric. I like the sounds. I already gave you a longer review. I thought you did better in the previous round than in this, but that's also because everyone else did better in this round than in the previous, so perhaps it's just relative. The thing I like less about this song is that it goes by you a bit too much. That doesn't have to be a bad thing. In a film scene the music shouldn't distract. And the contest seems to be film related (or so it seems to me) But in a competition it's better to have a song really be memorable and stand out from the rest. I know when I first heard it I liked it. But when I made a list at the end of all the songs I liked best, this song wasn't in there, because it didn't make too much of an impact. I'm looking forward to your submission for the next round. I hope you're doing even better than before. All in all you're doing very well in the competition, and that's quite deserved.

Neon-Bard responds:

So did I! I think there are number of things I could have improved upon with this piece. Thanks for the advice, I couldn't agree with you more, especially about the song needing that 'memorable' quality about it. Again, thanks for the feedback and for the support. :)
