The Alarms have been rung, the Storm is coming, And the Existence of someone will be put into question.

0:00-The First signs of a huge snowstorm start to arrive. Alarms are struck, doors are starting to close. Two people, Jack and Kylie, find themselves outside and on the verge of death, too far from the Outpost to get back in time, and with nowhere to go. They begin to look for shelter.

0:53-The two outsiders begin to look for refuge across the barren landscape.

1:15-They end up finding shelter, but are told by the owners of said shelter to leave; there are already too many people and there is quite literally no space left anywhere in the facility. They trudge on.

1:36-The final warning signal is given by the Outpost before the sounds of an avalanche crashing on the entire outpost happens. This is looked at with horror by Kylie, since her family was residing in there, and by Jack with nonchalance, stating that he hated the place and that something like this was bound to happen sooner or later. They have a big argument, until Kylie realizes there is nothing that can be done about the situation, until the storm clears up. Jack states that even if the Outpost was submerged by snow, there's no telling if everyone inside is dead or not. Kylie loses her walking strength, and begins to develop Hypothermia. Jack picks her up on his back and decides to take shelter in a nearby cavern.

2:26-Big thunderous noises can be heard from the outside, presumably giant rocks falling from the aftermath of the avalanche. as Jack pulls out some provisional wood from his jacket and starts a small fire to at least subside the feeling of utter cold down to the bones. Nothing can be done about Kylie's worsening condition. A extremely strong wind begins to blow, and a tune can be heard from it. Without food, Jack and Kylie begin to both grow hungry. Kylie passes out, and Jack simply pulls out a notepad, writes something in it, and goes to sleep.

3:41-Kylie has a dream of her childhood before coming to the outpost; on a different planet. The dream was a good one, but she sees Jack there too, just watching her play with her friends. She begins to question the integrity of the dream, and tries to run up to Jack, but is soon interrupted by a call from her mother. Jack pulls out a notepad, writes something small down, and leaves.

5:23-Kylie wakes up to a piggyback ride as Jack is making the final paces back to the Outpost. There is a Celebration and such, but when Kylie attempts to show Jack to her parents, he disappears.

6:13-She recalls the events of what happened after the snowstorm and what exactly happened to her and Jack.Kylie tries to find Jack again in the Outpost, and even convinces one of the Accountants to try to find a "Jack" in the Outpost Registry, but cannot seem to find him or a similar person.

6:46-Kylie gives up on trying to find Jack and goes to sleep. She's in the same dream as before, but when she looks to the place where Jack was standing, only a bunch of Playing Cards are in the wind. She catches the first one she can and takes a look.

It's the Jack of Spades.

UPDATE 6/15/13- Added Reverb and changed a couple major clipping issues.

You really went into writing an interesting story :) I can tell you really put forth effort and imagination into this piece, big props to the wind sound effect complimenting the picture, really brings it to life beautifully. It feels like a part of an RPG, I could easily see this in a game. The transitions in this piece are lovely. Really dynamic and mood changing, and tells a story. Reminds me of some Final Fantasy games. My only complaint is that is clips at points, but other than that, you have an amazing piece full of variation. It's a shame about the clipping, but it's still a wonderful piece.

Nimble responds:

The clipping couldn't be fixed even though i spent a good couple hours trying to fix it :c but I do appreciate you hearing the story in this :3 I really wanted to make the art my own(in a sense) so I went all-out on this piece, and thankfully it turned out really well.

nice hints of snow and wind makes it feel cool ! , I would imagine this would fit perfectly in some sort of a rpg.

Nimble responds:

Well, it's built on an image an a story, so i would hope so :b

read the description first, was specting something more slow and sad, i'd have imagined something completely diferent with the music.

still pretty good, sounds like an zelda soundtrack.

Nimble responds:

Zelda? heh, I can see it- not that it's bad or anything.

Thanks for the review :3
