Inspired by keepwalking's art piece "Frozen Desert"

Rated 4 / 5 stars

I have to give it to ya, you chose a very challenging and original art piece to inspire a song. The crazy thing is...this fits it very well. You somehow manage to incorporate both elements depicted in the image into this song. This is very definitely feels like a frozen desert. I really like the glitchy sounds to this but I will say I feel, the melody transitioning in the beat, I feel that could be a bit more structured. I also feel to really capture the vastness of the desert, the drums could have used some reverb or echoes to explain the distance. This piece has a lot of potential, but needs some tweaking, and I feel it needs to cut off from being so repetitive by changing up the melody more, but still a good piece itself.

Like Deshiel said, it fits with the art.
Sounds like i'm walking on ice. Looks beautiful, unlike anything i've ever seen. But then i see a weird looking monster is under the ice, trying to break through to get to me. I try running away, but because i panic too much i keep slipping. I can hear the ice cracking.
The monster's eyes reveal a great hunger.
Finally, the ice breaks. My legs are grabbed and i get pulled under water.
It takes a few seconds, then i'm gone.

Above the surface, everything is peaceful again.
Below it, i am being devoured.

Good job ;) I always watch the art that the composers chose while listening to thier inspired tracks.
Unlike some other dudes, your track identifies with the art pretty nicely.

zeefae responds:

Thank you! I had to really observe the art and try and create a mood. I'm glad I could actually do justice to the piece.

Thank you! I may have been a bit inspired by Tangerine Dream. :)
