I've never done this before, and I thought it would be interesting to try something new.

This is a WIP (I never let anybody hear my WIP's except my closest acquaintances), and I am seeking your expert advice. I will finish this song at a later date, but in the meantime you should leave a review and tell me what needs to be added after the song fades out, and what should be changed within the piece thus far.

I will go with the one who gives the most intuitive advice, and hopefully together we will create something marvelous. I will credit you in the finished piece if I decide to go with your advice.

Help me, my noble lords!

Sweet Jesus Bosa, you've done it again.

Great composition; the vocals just make the song.

I can see it transitioning into something very upbeat, somewhat like the opening theme of a movie, then transitioning into something darker, with heavy brass.

Really, you could make this into an entire movement if you wanted; adding more and more variations. I know I would if I had the time.

Overall though, you've blown me away once again.

5/5 from Patrick

Bosa responds:

That is definitely a good idea, Papkee. It is my style to go crazy with different variations and key changes, so you hit the nail on the head with this one. Thanks.

It sounds pretty damn amazing thus far, but I'd love to see you try and incorporate a good few woodwind instruments as sort of counter-melody/supporting lines; they generally work very well with strings in this regard.

I'm also noticing that there I'm hearing little to no brass sound in it, and that's something I'm not used to with you quite frankly. Might I suggest using a French Horn or Baritone/Euphonium to kind of fill that gap if you haven't already incorporated in a later part?

Bosa responds:

I do plan on adding brass! I may make it sound traditionally 'castle-ish' or I may go with a more fantasy approach, we will see.

I can say that in par to mainstream expectations, I hear the song continuing with that faster paced theme for a bit, then a cymbal roll into a more legato forte climax of the strings, and then a dying out with the strings and the vox. Of course, there would probably be some supporting brass. Some unique instrumental additions could be a piano doubling over the strings' theme when it picks up, or a bunch of glissandos. Perhaps a sudden harp solo preceding the climax.

I personally would love to hear this song suddenly take a wrong turn, somehow subtly transitioning the mood to a darker appeal, maybe really take on the minor qualities of the melodies for a bit and then return back for the big finish. I might also add some percussion of some sort, a hardcore tribal conga thing would be interesting and would fit well...while I would probably inject electronic elements.

I mean, you've got a great start to a song, keyword being start. It could literally go any direction so it's kinda hard to suggest something worthwhile. But nice job anyways, something will come of it!

Bosa responds:

Excellent suggestions, Sir ZipZipper. I appreciate your advice and your encouragement. I will definitely consider your insight.
