This track is pretty decent, however there's nothing that makes it stand out either in originality or composition. It does get slightly repetitive after a while though. Considering the art paired with it, it does fit decently well.

Well, quite a few people seem to feel that it fits the picture so... Yay for that! :D

But I do agree with you about the repetition. I failed hard at getting it to sound awesome so I kind of ended up leaving it as is. It really sucked but after a while I just gave it a rest, and never did manager to find something that worked. Out of curiosity, what might you suggest I could add to give it a bit more oomph to it? If anything, I can try to take what I've learned from this and the feedback and place it into the next major song I'm working on.

Overall, a nice piece with dynamics and good mixing. I do feel though there is a bit much rumbling going on in the beginning, low end could be turned down a tad. Overall I like the concept and the percussion, being the main highlight of this piece, but it feels repetitive and feels like it should build into something more. I feel it needs more to fit the artwork. Overall, not bad, good work.

I think I created myself into a corner with this one - I couldn't figure out how to add to it and give that extra 'oomph' without ruining the track. I do agree it seems to sorta tease you without managing to hit that "line" that transforms it from something good to something great. I've encountered that a few times, and I think I'm getting closer with each major project, like this. Thanks for the feedback though! Perhaps I'll attempt to revamp this in the future some day.

I was just randomly searching through the latest audio and I came across this. I'm really impressed! Like ZipZipper said, I can definitely see this being the background music for some kind of video game. I like the melodies a lot, and the sound design is pretty spot on with the feel of the song. 5 stars hands down.

anthonyloprimo responds:

Thank you! I'm glad to see that people are enjoying what I've done, and I'm glad that overall that I hit my goal with this song.

Whoa! Really cool! Excellent epic fanfare rhythm and a neat melody. Nothing really popped over each other which is nice actually. It serves like a background music for the beginning of a videogame, featuring the tutorial on how to maneuver the Assault Drone through a replica city. That being said, I thought its consistency was perhaps too good. I mean...wow it would be great as background, but I think it could be even better with more foreground. Some break where a lead synth comes in and plays a sort of solo in the middle or something like that. I also thought the drums beginning at 01:33 came off as a little cheesy and anticlimactic, at least alone. They sound nice blended in with the other percussion, which evolves and translates over time anyways so I guess it's not that big of an issue. Overall, definitely paints that videogame picture in my head, for some reason I'm thinking old school Playstation games hahaha. Anyways, really nice work! Noticed that I'll be entering the contest with inspiration from a piece by EchoCharlieDelta as well awkwardddd <3

anthonyloprimo responds:

I had some issues getting a really awesome "pop" to the music. A section that not only stood out amazingly.. but actually flowed with the song. I do agree though - it's good for background but... even with what I did there could have been a more distinct sound to give it more of a foreground.

The drums were kinda 'meh'. I wouldn't say slapped on towards the end but nothing spectacular even after several attempts to get something kick ass.

Thanks for the feedback though, first and foremost. I always strive to improve and I appreciate the feedback. I'd love to hear your own entry when it's out! Hope you get a chance to note me a link!
