This is a demo I made recently. It's kinda inspired by Leon - The Professional, rather the movie than its soundtrack - although there are some obvious elements inspired by Serra's brilliant score. Anyway, hope you'll enjoy it.
And sorry, I know that it's comparably quiet but for once I didn't want to just kill the whole dynamic range by compressing the sh** out of a piece and feel that it's okay this way.

To be honest I can't quite make out what you mean by "too cartoonish". Of course I get the words but I have no idea what you mean in this context (maybe I just don't watch the right cartoons...). If you mean the simplicity - well, that's something I was going for, don't know if I could have avoided it while sticking to the general idea I had here. Anyway, thanks for the feedback.
