Written for MAC13. This song tells a story.
First 10 seconds: sunrise
First minute: Exposition, your hometown.
At about 1:10 bad things happen.
The rest is an 8 bit adventure to set things right!
Thanks to the MAC13 for pushing me to work really hard on this. And good luck to everyone else :-)
It's not chipstep, but it is chip, so it's closer to chipstep than videogame.

Notes.
1. My best song.
2. Featuring chords and time signatures!
3. Wow I worked REALLY hard on that. By the end I was feeling really exhausted from hearing those melodies so many times. I still think they're pretty good though.
4. i really tried to make *every single part of the song* perfect.
5. The tempo never changes! It sure seems like it does though.

I came in to listen with just the intention to enjoy myself which I did. Fun little adventure.
I feel like I got a new powerful sword.
thanks for the review! chiptune sounds are the best sounds for going on an adventure! :)

Sounds real good. Good chords (some of them might even sound a bit too edgy, but i like that), good tempo and good melodies. However, i feel like you make it sound a bit too complicated in the description, i kinda read the description while i was listening to the intro, theres no huge noticable signature changes, triples are as usual as any, so i would recommend you change that. Of course it doesen't actually modify the track in any bad way, so don't take it badly. Keep it up!
this is a really interesting comment. i do agree that the comments i leave can kinda affect how you listen to the song. the thing is that on the other hand i want to document the stuff i did. however i did go and change the comments to be more vague ;-)
thanks for the review!

Was this inspired by my horrible tempt of chipstep?
Also seems like a good song for an adventure. The mixing and eqing is great tho the beat is a little low in my opinion. The different chords really touches it up alot too, adding tons of variation and everything.
Overall i like how this turned out tho i feel like the beat could of used a bit more variation. Then again im arcane and i always obsess about beats too much so don't be bothered :)
5 stars, fav'd, downloaded.
thanks bro! imo the beats are some of my personal best, because usually i just copy and paste a loop and call it done, but this time i took the effort to actually sequence a whole loop out. buuut there's always room for improvement :)
thanks for listening!
P.S. your 'chipstep' song was good, except it wasn't chipstep at all :D (and the contest was 8bit themed, so i didn't really have a choice.)
