Its good, but not sad, it feels more like Crime Scene Investigation, or a Post-Apocaliptic underground, and i agreed, if you want the Sadness, take off the Kick and Hihat

I agree with that other guy i think the drums and hihat sort of take away from the mysteriousness of your ambiance, i would love to hear it without. Its great otherwise

I think the rhythmical parts take away the sad and chilling feeling a bit. That also makes it more generic, which isn't necessarily bad. Good background: it doesn't annoy and loops well.
