A chiptune made for 8-bit Mac 13.
Backstory: First of all, I hate 8-bit chiptunes (16-bit is okay). That's why I kind of "gave up" early when the mac13 theme was announced. It's not that I had high hopes to begin with (studies and my part-time job take their toll on my time), but 8-bit is simply not my cup of tea. So I thought to let that one pass, but it made me think. I've never ever made a 8-bit track
After some days I found myself some free time, and instantly began messing around with LMMS. After some time I began to get myself to a rock-styled song. When I got to the riff (I preserved it to this song :p), I realized that "Hey, this one would make a good chiptune!" So i replaced everything I had with LMMS's SID emulator, and remade the percussion with Megaman X soundfont. This is the end result, and I kind of like it. I might remake (read: replace the presets with acoustic instruments) this to an acoustic track.
Made with LMMS 0.4.14rc1, its SID emu, and drum samples from "drumsynth"-folder.
(As for why I put it under chipstep, it's simply because there's no chiptune section, and I refuse to call it "video game" track)
