I like the melody. I don't produce music(yet), but I do give my honest opinions. I like the synths you used, and it loops perfectly. Did you ever use this in a song? I would LOVE to hear that.

Vee responds:

nah i haven't yet maybe soon though.

This is a prime example of a very nooby newgrounds producer! I was in you shoes once. :) I hope you take the time to read this review--it will help you a lot.

First off, the fast trills you're doing in the melody are executed kind of poorly executed--not to mention the fact that it doesn't sound that great with portamento.
Your main flaw is the melody itself. I'm going to go ahead and critique it assuming it's the main reason you uploaded this submission.

The chord progression you're using: C, Ab, Eb, Bb (i-VI-III-VII) is most likely the most overused bassline/chord progression in Techno and Pop. Regardless of this, many artists have been able to use this bassline and make it sound extremely original because of the way they harmonize it and the melody flowing over it. What I'm trying to say here is that you really make the fact that you used these chords very apparent. Try to create something more original, something that's catchy and flows nicely. Some examples of that would be my song "Tonight We Fly" or Dimrain47's "Operation Evolution." I'm assuming Basshunter was your inspiration for this? So, change your melodies or change your chord progression. :)

Onto some other things: Your rhythm for the bassline is very boring and lacks a lot. Don't use FL Studio Default drums; find some sample packs such as Vengeance Essential Clubsounds. Your drums need a lot more pizzaz and definitely need to stick out more. Your kick definitely needs more bass. Try to do some EQ and Compression on everything to get a cleaner sound. If you don't know what those are, there are several tutorials on youtube explaining them. Add some counter melodies, synth dynamics, effects, and make it as interesting as possible!

Well, there's my two cents. I hope you take this to heart and apply all that I've said. Hopefully there will be a drastic improvement in your production. Any other questions? Feel free to PM me any time.

Thanks for the constructive criticism! Unfortunately I did all those, used other drums than the default, used eq's etc. I did not get this from basshunter, i never even heard of them. XD I know a lot more than you think. my main problem is i have trouble making nice fluent melodies. so if you could help me at all with that then please do! :|
