Not really sure about the genre, I'm just calling it trance because of the side chaining. It's electronic. Made in Ableton Live.

Hmm very nice..........look into some Audien - id say it sounds alike . The best part of this - is the melody, you brought the bass and that will always make a good track great - could it have used some other stuff? sure - but its all preference.

Thanks. I agree - it's a tad plain, but sometimes simple is better to me. There's definitely some stuff I would have done differently with this song had it been now, but it's mostly subtle things like lessening the reverb on the kick. BTW, I think I actually have his song "Wayfarer" on my ipod. Good song.

I really enjoyed this. It had some lovely melodies and a nice, strong pulse. It succeeded in being quite melancholy sounding, too. A lot of beat-heavy electronic music isn't good at that, so kudos!

Thanks!

This is great bro, got a really professional sound going on, the mix is great and I couldn't pick up on any faults. Also loved the originality with not only the melodies but also the synths, a bit different from most trance/house songs but it sounds sick!
I feel privileged to have a compliment from a producer as great as you, and I can't wait to hear your next track :)

Your typical electronic track. It was pretty much what I would expect, and it is quite good as far as quality is concerned.

Of course drumbeats in these songs are almost always repetitive, but it would be nice to hear some more fills and some more dynamics there. But overall, I liked the song. The instruments were quite soothing despite the drums.

One question, though: Why 'Rain in the Winter' for the title?

I will voteth five, my good sir.

pfrequency responds:

Thanks for the review! Drums are definitely something I can improve on, I agree with you on that. The title I just kind of spontaneously chose because of the weather where I live. I feel like snow is the only good part of cold winter, rain in the winter is just depressing. My titles are never very profound, lol.
