This is a strictly electronic piece I wrote a few months ago using a KORG kaossilator and a synthesizer. I'm currently finishing up lyrics to record some vocals so you can't get the message of the song yet. When it's finished it is going start out as a love song about a relationship the narrator is in where he loves this girl, but also loves the drugs the two of them share together, saying "baby, don't you know it's magic?" Near the middle of the song he becomes doubtful saying things like "you change your clothes and you change your hair, and it just seems like you're never there" and "you're not the same as you used to be." After a short change in music the lyrics take on a more cryptic tone with the section "There's something strange baby, I feel deranged baby, baby? baby? baby? BABY? woah oh oh oh, I feel you slipping yeah yeah you're slipping, woah oh oh oh and this isn't how I thought it would be, well if you want to be my love, be everyone and everything I put above, you can you can, and if you want to prick my skin and tickle the wounds with knives and pins, you can you can, and if you want to make me lose my mind, well forget about it, shout about it, out of time, you can you can, and if you want to steal my heart and leave me nothing at all, leave me nothing at all well baby you can, and if you want to steal my soul until I'm nothing at all, until I'm nothing at all, well baby you can, woah oh oh oh I feel you slipping or is it me who's running away? woah oh oh oh, but WHY DON'T YOU TOUCH ME?" Like many songs that substitute drug addiction for bad romance this song juxtaposes feelings of losing a lover thinking they have changed somehow, but in the end realizing they themselves have changed and succumbed to the addiction which has made them lose sense of reality, but because they are numb can no longer feel the "magic" they once gave them, hence the line "why don't you touch me", a double entendre of both physical interaction with the lost lover and total desperation from drug abuse. This song is highly personal and stems from years of personal substance abuse and the heartache of my former lover and muse.

Oooh pretty neat kaossilator work. I'm curious how the version with vocals will sound. I think they will add a lot (especially after reading the post :).

Cheers, good job

The intro makes me think of a gay guy shopping for shoes and the kick are synced with his footsteps as he shakes his head at all the pairs, then dad started drinking... anyways I like it, creative and poppy, well done.

This made me laugh coffee out my nose lol, now I can't stop seeing that image in my head.
