Starting to do more orchestral stuff to broaden my capabilities. This is just a little test thing I did.

Well this was "NOTBAD" it was an interesting piece here seems like you could have added more depth to this piece though it was a little light on mixture and variety, so thats one thing to think about but as you say it was a test so hope it proved some good results.

It's okay...I liked the ominous beginning, especially with the drums, but it was a little slow in general. The strings were hiding under the beat for most of the song- it could've been much more dramatic, as I see that's what you were going for. Also, there could have been a lot more dynamic contrast before/after 1:08. It's not a bad start. I just think it could be more emotional. I encourage you to keep working on it. ;)
I agree with everything you said. It definitely could have been better, but as it was just for testing purposes, I didn't exactly make it to the best of my abilities. If I ever do choose to do a finished version (Which I probably will at some point), I'll take into account everything you mentioned. Thanks!
