Taken from a journal entry about how to cope with stress and indecision.

- Lyrics -
And still I wonder, "What is it gonna take?
What is the key for me to get things straight?"
I do so well to bend and
Not to break
I sit alone to think and
Meditate
But still I find it hard to
Concentrate
Put it all off, can I
Afford to wait
Is nothing wrong or am I
Far too late
Twistin my arm, I leave it
Up to fate
I do so well to bend and
Not to break

But still I'm hopeful, long for a better day
Stayin the course I know I'll find my way
I do so wel to sway and
Not to stray
I lay me down and hang my
Head to pray
But cannot seem to find the
Words to say
Lost in the crowd, how do I
Clear the fray
Push for a change, in time I
Feel I may
Hooked on a sign, I find I'm
Held at bay
I do so well to sway and
Not to stray

Recorded the vocals with my Ultranova's vocoder.

Such percussion skills! :'>
I really love the electronic sound, I've always envied people who can pull it off well. The chords are familiar and consistent without being redundant which is super important and you nailed it. Really good going on that!

RyeGuyHead responds:

I like how you bring up the familiarity of the chords. I feel like songwriters get into trouble sometimes when they start trying too hard to sound different. You should really just write out what feels good to you and leave it up to the other moving parts (dynamics, expression, construction/destruction, etc) to complete the piece.

Thanks for the review!
