SMES presents "Still Alive" from the amazing game Portal. This song was written by Jonathan Coulton and we planned to cover it! Recorded with two Zoom H4n's with 4 mics plugged into them and mixed with Logic.

Sax solo, Jarrod Brereton.
Piano solo, Harry Cook.

Thank you for our small fan base that has encouraged SMES and given so much support to us. It is truly incredible. And a big shout out to Camoshark for your support and wonderful help getting us out there. Thank you and I hope you enjoy.

Mastering could be improved. The drums and the bass overshadow the piano and sax at times, and the various instruments sound out-of-sync when the tempo picks up. I found listening to the saxophone was more enjoyable than focusing on the other instruments. Sorry Harry :(

SMES responds:

Yeah, I'm just getting into mixing and mastering as we speak. I have lots to learn obviously! Hopefully can get some good quality stuff up soon too. Thanks for your review! =)
