"I've lived an entire existence of fight, conquering new territories, mastering new strategies, overcoming harder ordeals.
At the tip of my stick, i directed my orchestra of destruction. At my orders, my troops took over ennemy Canons.
Strings of bent bows, Sharp blades, and the Flat terrains and the High peaks became a symphony of terror.
But, if my enemy's spirits were Low, and they begged for mercy, i would spare him, as this is my Coda of honor.

I went to foreign lands, and learned their secrets. My army now includes Kotos, Shamisens, Shakuhachis, Ouds, Erhu.
I lived long enough to see the future. Now industrial drums of war are opening the march of my army.

Yes, i am the Conqueror of Music and Sounds. I am the Master of Those Who Listen.
I am the Strategist of the Waves.
I... am... Deflektor ! "

NB : please note that the text is nothing more than roleplay. I don't actually mean it.
Also, this piece was heavily inspired by the japanese composer Takanashi Yasuharu.
And finally, this is my entry Bosa's Dreams of Splendor contest.
Enjoy !

Nice song. I like how you use relatively uncommon instruments. Keeps it interesting. There is something a little artificial about it though. I can't quite put it into words, but you can hear they're samples not live instruments. The melody is very good. It sounds mysterious and industrious.

Deflektor responds:

Well, i tried to reproduce the celtic fiddle thing, so that must be why it doesn't sound realistic.
Thanks for the review !

I'm always reminded of Age of Empires II when I hear your music.

Deflektor responds:

Is that so ?
Well, being a fan of the games, i appreciate the comparison !
Thank you !

I love the sounds of the oriental instruments, the guitar or guitar-like sounds. It's catchy, head-bangy, and pretty all at the same time. Would love to see the song last just a bit longer, and get some more out of those strings and flutes. So wonderful. :)

Deflektor responds:

Thank you very much !
