---- So here we are again, a year after Eye of the Dragon, with another submission for the Orchestral MAC hosted by Brokendeck. Once again, I've gone for full blow epic orchestral music, because it's probably the type of music I enjoy writing most.
Before I go any further, I'd in particular like to thank Step for his huge contribution to this project. He was the one that did all the post production work on the track, and is probably the reason why the mix sounds as it does now, instead of sounding like a half cooked omelette. Check out Step's stuff (http://step.newgrounds.c om/), he deserves it.
Now, regards the track's production, this took me over 40 hours of composition, stretched out over the past weeks. I had actually created the original idea for the track ages ago, back when I was working on a track for the 2012 Orchestral MAC, but I had discarded it. I found an old mp3 in my Backups folder and decided to try the melody out again, and this was the result. Orchestration wise, this piece uses a huge range of instruments, from horns, to the entirety of the string section, to oriental woodwinds, to a staggering list of different percussions with names I can't remember.
I am very happy with how this piece turned out, especially considering the huge amount of work both Step and I put into it. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did! Feedback, as always, is much appreciated.
