Tower top floor - Battle

I imagined this being used in a cinematic sequence. Specifically in an RPG game. Either full on video animation, or nice long dialogue between the boss character of this long tower stage you cleared. This isn't quite the fight itself, but precedes it. While you had some high hopes for the fight ahead, something comes out of left field..

Very nice but room for improvement, first of it starts and stopps too fast which can sometimes add effect, also it could be longer, it's not really dubstep, more chipstep-Like, i still enjoy how it was composed, overall it's good, just minor tweaks.
(Also i diddnt notice you had lots of thing posted before i pm'ed you XD AND!! Dont be afraid to show emotion on ng, it's proffesional like but you can still have a soul XD)

SonicJ responds:

When you say it stops and starts too fast, and that the end result is adding effects, could you please elaborate? Do I appear to not have a soul?! :p Thank you for the review!

mmm ._., well before the grainy bit kicked in I was in tune with the boss dialog part, I totally imagined that as a megaman battle dialogue, the grainy part that comes in at 43 sec, I feel that it should be moar steady...like..beat wise, and for personal taste, some of the notes not sharp or as detuned.

SonicJ responds:

Thank you for the review! :)

I really enjoy this one. I think you accomplished the imagery you were aiming for. I particularly like the beginning; I think the soft, warm string pad really compliments the harder, busier "reverse" feel in the lead. From seeing your other work, I personally feel like putting in some extra time on this song - adding a bit more to the end and making it loop (due to your proficiency in looping) would have been worth it. I think you had enough material to be interesting on a second pass at least.

SonicJ responds:

Thank you for the review ! I appreciate your analysis on my imagery for this song, it's spot on! It's a bit hard for me to continue to working on songs since I don't own the full version of Fl studio, so a lot of my projects tend to be cut short due to the circumstances.

Love how trippy it sounds. At first I thought it kinda got heavy around the end but it really helps push the creep factor you have going, so it's a really nice use of distortion. I can see this being played before a final boss or just a creepy character. Awesome track.

SonicJ responds:

Thanks, that was definitely the idea of the song when I made it :). I wanted a really bothersome boss battle song, one to draw you into the moment, if not get you ready for it.
